LINQtoVFP configuration

May 12, 2011 at 3:33 PM

I have downloaded What do I do to configure my VS2010 project in order to add VFP tables in the same way I do with SQL tables?

Is that what that product allows developers to do or I am completely off?

LINQtoVFP just provides another way of accessing your data in .Net in a way similar to LINQtoSQL – which is ultimately just a wrapper over the classic ADO.Net classes. LINQtoVFP doesn’t have any specific integration points with VS2010 that would allow you to create a VFP table.

I see. Is it possible to have a complete sample of connecting to a VFP database and running a query against of tables?

The LinqToNorthwind project is a good starting point.
